In the midst of millions of dollars worth of infrastructure projects, Foster City officials and the community may soon resolve whether to take on another endeavor — building a completely new recreation center.

On Tue the City Council will review input gathered from a months-long community outreach process over whether the outdated facility in its “crown jewel” park should be replaced.

Currently, about 130,700 people use the recreation center each year, including more than 7,800 seniors and people who attend more than 2,000 events, according to Liu.
